Adam Rector - Professional Martial Artist
"Cultural Understanding Through Martial Artistry"
Adam Rector currently serves on the Faculty in the Martial Arts Program at Indiana University and travels to train, teach, and perform martial arts and stage combat across the country. He specializes in researching and teaching martial arts as a form of cultural expression using his diverse experiences in different styles from around the globe. His martial journey has seen him teaching children, adults, students, and stunt performers and taken him as far as Okinawa, China, and Brunei.
He holds rank in Kempo, Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Jeet Kune Do, and Kali as well as being involved in the practice, research, and teaching of Historical European Martial Arts and Silat Suffian Bela Diri of which he is the Study Group Leader for the state of Indiana. He holds undergraduate degrees from Indiana University in both Physics and Martial Arts Training Methodologies as well as a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology. He is also a graduate of the International Stunt School and a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors.
