The 2018 UCLA Martial Arts & Wellness Symposium aimed to increase the awareness and understanding that martial arts is a valuable resource for becoming, staying and thriving as a healthy human being.
This years symposium hosted an array of experts and professionals from neuroscience professors to internationally renown instructors and presenters. Participants heard about the variety of benefits that martial arts training has, and participated in small workshops and seminars to learn on the spot martial arts techniques and drills.
"Thank you all for an outstanding event. This is a much-needed dialogue in the martial arts community, one where the quality of research and ideas speaks louder than stripes, trophies, and accolades. It is a place where the next generations of martial artists will be able to apply their academic and/or professional experience to educate others and improve the art." -
