Guro Conrad Cayman has been training in martial arts for 28 years, getting his start with the UCLA Martial Arts Program. A certified instructor under Guro Dan Inosanto in Filipino Martial Arts and Jeet Kune Do, he has been teaching a weekly Filipino Martial Arts class at the Inosanto Academy for 8.5 years and at UCLA for the last 6. He is also is a instructor in Capoeira Regional Contemporanea under Mestre Boneco of Grupo Capoeira Brasil. Always a student, Guro Conrad trains or has taken seminars in Muay Thai, Western Boxing, Boxe Française Savate, Silat Suffian Bela Diri, Capoeira Angola, and many other Filipino Martial Arts styles.
Outside of martial arts Conrad is a freelance traditional jazz musician that plays guitar, upright bass, and banjo. He is also the bandleader for The Big Butter Jazz Band, which plays at restaurants, bars, festivals, and special events all over Southern California.
